iMOW® robotic mowers are the smart answer to the question of how much time you need to spend to achieve optimum lawn maintenance – namely, almost none. The self-driving lawn robot mows and mulches your lawn intelligently and reliably, so all that’s left for you to do it sit back and enjoy your beautiful green expanse. Our practical accessories make it easy to install your robotic lawn mower, protect it from sun rays and dirt, and equip it with wheels or cutting blades that are tailored to your particular conditions.
EASILY INSTALL A ROBOTIC LAWN MOWER YOURSELF
If you buy your iMOW® from a specialist shop, your STIHL dealer will be happy to perform installation at your location. However, you also have the option of conveniently ordering the robotic mower online from the STIHL shop, in which case you can also very easily install the iMOW® yourself. First you’ll have to choose between two installation kits, depending on the size on your lawn. The kit includes everything you need for the initial installation of your robotic lawn mower, alongside the supplied docking station: the boundary wire, anchor nails for securing the wire, and useful wire clips. Using the fixing nails, simply lay the perimeter wire along areas that shouldn’t be mowed – For example, just before steep drops, along flowerbeds or where the lawn meets the patio.
When you’re installing the charging station, make sure that it’s on a level substrate. That way, the iMOW® can always travel in safety and the battery is reliably charged. If the charging station is in direct sunlight for long periods in the summer, it’s best to buy a sun canopy to protect your robotic mower from heat.
FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION OF THE IMOW® ROBOTIC LAWN MOWER
The components of the installation kits are of course also available individually so that you can adapt your iMOW® equipment to your garden needs. If your iMOW® robotic mower will be mowing a lawn area with many obstacles or a very large plot size for example, you may need more boundary wire. In this case, simply order some more and use our wire clips to join it where the existing wire ends. You can then mark out the area using additional fixing nails, however large or angular it is. You can also order these components directly from the STIHL online shop from the comfort of your own home.
UNEVEN GROUND? STIHL ROBOTIC LAWN MOWERS CAN HANDLE IT
Uneven or even hilly plots won’t stop the STIHL iMOW® completing its work. That’s because our traction wheels with terrain profile ensure the required traction even on demanding subsoil. The extra-heavy front wheels are very well suited to inclines and hills – for optimum weight distribution that gives the robotic lawn mower a better hold and more balance. If you have a large plot, it’s worth choosing a robotic mower with larger cutting width. You’ll be best equipped here with the additional 30 cm blades for our top models.
